« Les Optimistes » est le nom d’une équipe de volley norvégienne hors du commun : les joueuses ont entre 66 et 98 ans ! Bien que ces mamies sportives n’aient pas joué un seul vrai match en 30 ans d’entraînement, elles décident de relever un grand défi : se rendre en Suède pour affronter leurs homologues masculins. Mais avant cela, il faut broder les survêtements, trouver un sponsor, convaincre l’entraîneur national de les coacher, mémoriser les règles qu’elles ont oubliées, se lever au petit matin pour aller courir… Croyez-les : être sénior est une chance, et ces « Optimistes » la saisissent en plein vol !
